Memorial
The Road Trauma Support Team (Tasmania) holds a public memorial event "NOT FORGOTTEN", a non denominational informal service acknowledging and publicly remembering those who have lost their lives in road accidents, their families, friends and the professionals who are dedicated to helping road accident victims. Also remembering those who have been injured and their carers.
The Memorial Service for 2011 was held in the Brisbane St Mall Launceston undercover area at 11 am ( lasted about an hour) on Saturday November 19.
It was a very informal and a healing tribute focusing on some wonderful singing from well known local singers Freddie Todman, Di Briffa and John de Jong and the inspirational music of Brynn Tanton on the bagpipes. Thankyou all who assisted and hope that the many passers by who stopped to listen were reminded that there are those in the community suffering longterm from the consequences of road crashes.We all need to be vigilant.
